Frequently asked questions
Can mosaic or blur be reversed to reveal the original?
The stronger the setting, the harder it is to reverse, but text and numbers in particular (license plates, card numbers) are known to sometimes be recoverable through pattern analysis. Use the black box for anything that must be reliably hidden.
Can I mark more than one area?
Yes — drag to add as many areas as you need, remove any one of them individually, or undo the most recent one with Ctrl+Z (⌘Z).
Does the result keep the original's metadata, like location?
No. The result is redrawn onto a canvas, so metadata such as EXIF (including GPS location) from the original file is not carried over.
