What happens to transparency when converting PNG to JPG?
JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Keep the file as PNG if you need to preserve transparency.

For photos with complex colors, JPG is usually much smaller. For logos, icons, and text with flat colors and sharp edges, PNG can be smaller or preserve quality better.
Is there quality loss?
